Our experiences with Frederick Horticulture Services have been excellent
and we highly recommend them to anyone considering professional landscaping.
Working with Frederick Horticulture was pleasant and comfortable because they were able to meet both our budget and landscaping needs. They were professional, courteous, and stayed within their projected timelines. More than that, because of the detailed planning and estimates that were prepared for us, we felt extremely confident that the job would be done right.
The end result of their original design is beautiful. We couldn't be happier with our backyard. Curtis was able to match a garden design to our needs. We are not experienced gardeners, so he put together several gardens that are extremely low maintenance and visually striking. He also ensured that we had all necessary information to keep our gardens healthy and looking great. They made several modifications to the initial stonework plan to ensure that the end product was the perfect compliment to our pool and new gardens.

Curtis,
I am writing this letter to thank you for my beautiful garden. I have spent many enjoyable hours in it over the past year.
In April 2003 when you and I began working together to plan my perennial garden I was very apprehensive about removing 80% of my backyard lawn and replacing it with trees, flowers and pea stone paths. But with encouragement from you and after seeing the backyard plan you came up with, I was very excited about getting started.
Curtis, I have now enjoyed my beautiful garden for two full summers and all the plants are filling in great. You did advise me that I had a "three" year garden and you have been true to your word. I love the Mountain Ash you planted and the birds love it too. The pea stone paths make it possible for myself and my friends to walk around and see all the wonderful plants.
I am very pleased with the many perennials you chose, from the many varieties of Hostas to pink lilacs to the Rosa Rugosa's that continually bloom from spring to fall. My problem was I didn't know what to plant so that I would have colour from early spring until our first winter snow fall. You solved that for me, I now have plants that bloom through the seasons so there is always something new and colourful happening in my garden.
I have had so many compliments on my garden and the biggest compliment I have had to date is, one of my neighbor's would like her daughter's wedding pictures taken in my garden!!!
Well, enough about my garden and please do drop around anytime you can spare a few moments to admire your creative hard work, most likely you will find me in my backyard, snipping, watering, weeding and admiring.

In October of 2003 my wife and I moved into the Barrie area after 37 years of living in the GTA area.
The house we purchased was practically new, being occupied by the owner/builder at the time. Although the house's construction was exceptional, the surrounding property was best described as "a disaster"! Sod had been placed directly over clay (ie, no top soil). The site had also not been properly graded, and numerous tall weeds and thistles were growing everywhere!
Being new to the Barrie area, my wife and I just didn't know where to go for professional, quality assistance in this regard. Fortunately for us, we dropped in at Curtis's booth set up at this past spring's "Home and Garden Show" held at the Molson Centre. We immediately felt at ease, recognizing Curtis' horticultural expertise/talents combined with his very professional approach.
We had no qualms engaging Curtis & his company in bringing our property into award-winning shape. We were not disappointed. Although busy at the time, Curtis recognized our immediate needs, and willingly fit our project into his busy schedule. The top soiling, re-sodding, planting designs and placement work performed by Frederick were first class, start to finish. they have obviously also used the best of stock materials considering that all of the plantings are surviving and flourishing. We have received numerous, numerous compliments from both family and friends on the final, striking visual impact.
My wife & I are very, very pleased and happy/satisfied with Frederick (Curtis') work, and would strongly recommend them to anyone demanding "first class" results.

We recently utilized the services of Frederick Horticulture for a major landscaping project revamping our backyard.
Before choosing Frederick Horticulture we contacted and spoke with four (4) landscaping companies regarding the project. The work included designing and recommending a wide range of planting requirements. We finally chose Frederick primarily due to their extensive horticulture knowledge and sincere attempts to understand our needs and preferences. Price was a consideration as well and we concluded that they were full value for the estimate provided.
We had all sod removed from our backyard, our stone patio enlarged, flag stone garden paths, comprehensive perennial, shrub and evergreen plantings. We were delighted with the final result.
The work was done professionally, on time and on budget.
We would recommend them most highly and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
